Current Surgery ways of working
As we all continue to follow the government guidelines and with thanks to the highly successful vaccine programme, we are working towards restoring some areas of General Practice that have been on hold.
From April we will be contacting patients to come in for health services that have been on hold during lock down (24hr BP etc.).
Please call us or do an online consultation if you need medical attention where your request can not be dealt with by a pharmacist or 111.
We are still taking all prescription requests as normal.
The surgery is asking for all of their patients to please be patient with their staff. The covid-19 vaccine roll out means that all staff have a lot of extra work to do, booking appointments, responding to enquiries and working at the vaccine hub. This means virtually all staff are working extra shifts, including evenings and weekends to cover the extra work load while ensuring regular clinics continue as planned, as much as possible. This applies to doctors, nurses and admin/reception staff.
Unavoidably, this will have an impact on routine surgery business and staffing levels, and there may be times when queries take longer to be answered or appointments are not able to be scheduled as quickly as we would all like.
Please note a change in opening times the surgery will close at 6.30pm until further notice
COVID-19 vaccination programme
1st Vaccines:
As a Practice we are now well under way towards getting our over 50 population vaccinated along with patients who are Clinically extremely vulnerable.
If you receive an invite but there are no clinics available - please try again later in the week.
2nd Vaccines:
We will be starting our 2nd vaccine clinics on 19th March and everyone who received a vaccine either at Heatherside or Lakeside WILL receive an invite from us to attend for a 2nd vaccine in March / April
PLEASE NOTE - NHS England are now contacting patients to offer vaccination at a national site. If you take up this opportunity you will need to return to the same site for your second vaccine. Also please cancel the text that you get from the surgery to avoid us following up. You CAN cancel your appointment elsewhere and book through the Practice text invite if you want to go to Lakeside.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SURGERY TO ASK WHEN YOUR VACCINE WILL BE - WE WILL CONTACT YOU
The Covid helpline is being manned by Surrey Heath Borough Council and they are there to answer any questions you may have and to help you book your appointment IF YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED by your practice.
They can be contacted on 01276 707100 between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-4.30pm Fridays.
The vaccination programme is moving at pace and we are 'throwing' everything we have at it. We have many staff and doctors who are giving all their time to the effort and we appreciate your help
We are operating the Vaccination Centre from Lakeside Country Club, Wharf Road, Frimley Green, GU16 6PT
We are confident that (vaccine permitting) we will soon be on top of this awful Virus and better times are ahead!
THANK YOU for helping us to help you – Your support has been amazing and it keeps our staff going.
There is a link to literature to read if you are offered an appointment or indeed if you would like to read it ahead of being offered your appointment at the bottom of this section.
